Toyota has a brand new multimedia system in play and buyers of the all-new redesigned 2018 Camry will be the first ones to enjoy it. In fact, the Entune 3.0 Infotainment System makes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto look like some seriously outdated tech.
Let’s start with navigation. Entune uses Bluetooth connectivity to connect with a free app that projects Scout GPS Link from your smartphone onto your Camry’s 7- or 8-inch touch screen. Unlike Google Maps, the program uses open-source mapping to help you find your destination.
Things get even more exciting as you climb the trim levels. If you decided to upgrade to Premium, you also enjoy cloud-based mapping that uses real-time navigation information and then projects it onto your on-screen map.
That means real traffic updates as things unfold and recommendations on alternate routes in the meantime. Entune helps keep drivers ahead of the game, especially in high-stress, heavy traffic scenarios. We’re looking at you, Anthony Henday.
Is the Toyota Entune 3.0 Easy to Use?
The Entune 3.0 Infotainment System was designed to make your life as easy as possible when you are inside your Toyota. You’ll have access to fun music apps like Pandora and iHeart Radio. There are apps for news, podcasts, sports scores, weather, and stocks. Use Yelp freely or find online information on traffic accidents.
Entune also allows you to remotely start and stop your Toyota whenever you want. Or, if you’ve been in an accident and need assistance, press a button and help is dispatched right away. You can even activate a 4G LTE Wi-Fi internet connection if you’re looking to save on data.
Forget what you used to know about vehicle entertainment systems; Entune 3.0 is the future. It incorporates the best elements from competing systems into one, easy-to-use interface. The 2018 Camry will be the first to feature the new technology, however, Toyota will eventually incorporate the system across more of their 2018 models as the year unfolds.
Don’t miss out! Be one of the first in Edmonton to test-drive the all-new Camry and experience Entune 3.0 in person.
